White Lake

White Lake is a 6,500-hectare lake with warm water, sandy beaches, and is one of the largest lakes on the Lake Superior Circle Tour. Located 23.61 miles (38 km) west of White River, Ontario(http://www.whiteriver.ca/), home of Winnie the Pooh’s Hometown Festival.  White Lake offers 3 locations for car camping, Woodlily, Moccasin Flower, and Sundew Campgrounds.

White Lake has many trails to consider while at there park, they vary in length and difficulty. The Visitor Centre offers Discovery Drop-In programs, mountain bike rentals and several other fun activities. At the centre, you can rent adult mountain bikes (but helmets are not provided). White Like has fishing opportunities, mainly Walleye, Northern Pike, Lake Whitefish and Yellow Perch. Deer Lake has a small population of Walleye and Northern Pike. White Lake is a popular destination for canoeing and boating. While out on the lake or out hiking, keep your eyes open to see birds such as kingfishers, Great Blue Herons, ducks, and songbirds.
