#WeLoveSuperior Series – Birding 101
September 14, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Free
Well over one hundred bird species visit Lake Superior every year – or call the area home. And anyone can try identifying our flying friends – why not you? On September 14th, join Parks Canada’s very own Doug Tate for this fun introduction to the delicate art of birding on Lake Superior. We’ll discuss tips to ID birds, hotspots for birding opportunities and we’ll explore some of the different species that can be found along the north shore of Lake Superior in the fall.
Cost: Open to the public and free of charge
What to bring: Please bring binoculars, sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, water and a snack.
Optional: Feel Free to bring along a bird ID book if you have one!
Doug Tate is the Ecologist Team Leader at Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area.
