Rainbow Falls

Rainbow Falls Provincial Park is off the TransCanada Highway 17 nuzzled between the Township of Rossport (http://www.rossport.ca/) and Schreiber, Ontario(http://www.schreiber.ca/). Rainbow Falls Provincial Park is located alongside the Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area. This beautiful Provincial Park has two locations to camp at, Whitesand Lake and Rossport Campground. Within the park is a 32.31 miles (52 km) section of the Voyageur Trail, the Casque Isles Trail.

Rainbow Falls Provincial Park camp location is the open grassy birch grove of Rossport Campground which is 3.1 miles (5 km) west of Whitesand Lake Campground. The Whitesand Lake Campground is located on the north side of Highway 17. Hiking at the park is made easy with trails that have been laid out. The park has warm inland waters to swim in at Whitesand Lake, with two designated swimming locations. There is also has swimming locations on Lake Superior. Catch a variety of fish species in Whitesand Lake and Lake Superior. Whitesand Lake is also ideal for paddling. Don’t forget to stop in at the visitor’s centre to see the monthly activities that go on at the park.
