Bowman Island Lodge and Charters

Bowman Island is located off the south shore of St. Ignace Island in the center of the Lake Superior Marine Conservation Area on the north shore of Lake Superior. Bowman Island Lodge and Charters offers superior fishing and outdoor adventures from a remote lodge on Bowman Island.

The wilderness lodge is a three-season retreat that has three bedrooms with double and twin beds for your comfort. There is a large common room open to the kitchen complete with fireplace. There is a vista view to the south and west providing a panoramic view of wild life, scenery and spectacular sunsets. There is a sauna provided for bathing and showering.  The lodge is provided with power by solar panels and propane appliances. Cooking is done on a propane stove and barbecue Light housekeeping cabin will sleep up to four.

How to Get There

The only way to get to Bowman Island is by water.

From the Nipigon Marina you will be taken on 45 foot trawler that is licensed by Transport Canada to carry 10 passengers safely to Bowman Island.

There is also a 27-foot water taxi licensed to carry 6 passengers.

NOTE: There are no scheduled round trips to the lodge.

World Class, low pressure fishing for trophy Speckled Trout (Brook Trout, Coaster Brook Trout) and Lake Trout.

To catch these trophy’s, you can use any of these options:
