Ole’s Resort Family Fun Adventure

There is nothing better than having your own family adventure at Ole’s Adventure Resort.  You get the opportunity to connect as a family and experience the wonderment of the great outdoors through your children’s eyes. Their smiles and laughter seem to grow a bit bigger when they have a chance to explore in nature. You will build memories that will last a lifetime.

Having 4 children Dave & I know firsthand just how important these family memories are. We have made it our mission at Ole’s to make camp as fun as possible for every child that visits our resort.

We have many family fun things to choose from at Ole’s Resort.  Boating. paddling, outdoor and indoor games, and if you want to just relax and take in a movie, we have unlimited DVDs and a library.   If you happen to book your vacation on a long weekend there are lots of extra things to do. Crafts, outdoor movies, and permitting a camp-wide cookout and bonfire.  At Ole’s, we focus on bringing everyone in as a community and there is nothing better for kids than making new friends at camp.

 

Year after year we have many families visit our resort.  It brings us great joy to have instructed many young guests on casting their line in the water and no first-time fishing experience goes unnoticed.   This is why we participate in the Experience Fishing Certificate Program and donate a family day on the lake.  You can tell by the smiles on their faces and the stories they tell just how important it is.

Nothing is more satisfying for us than teaching children about fishing, the habitat around us, and about all the creatures that are in our backyard. It is amazing to see the wonder in their faces when they witness eagles flying overhead on the Lake.  Or to guide them at night to search out the owl’s nesting in the trees at Ole’s.

Our cabins are all Lakeview so you can just wander down to the shore and see the Northern Tundra swans and otters frolicking and feeding at the water’s edge. See all the different species of dragonflies emerging from the lake and the masses of monarch butterflies congregating for their daily drinks. It’s a great way to disconnect from the everyday stresses of life and connect to each other in the purest way.

The moment you enter your cabin at Ole’s Resort your adventure begins.  To see the faces of the children going through the door and giggling as they pick their beds for their stay.  Scouring every inch of their new surroundings. For some, it is their first time by the lake but even if they have been here many times there is always a sense of wonder as if they are seeing it for the first time.  We take pride in everything that we do at Ole’s Resort.  We have updated and equipped our cabins with every amenity to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

There is nothing better than the connection and pure joy of sitting by a warm bonfire with your family.  You will be in the most peaceful place with stars overhead, the sounds of the lake, and the loons calling.  Curl up on a big comfy couch, gather for a board game, or snuggle in for the night.

At Ole’s Resort, it is important that the children here are as safe as possible and that they have space to explore, ride their bikes, and go on scavenger hunts. If you have an ATV, they are welcome to take the many nearby trails.
