Clark’s Resorts & Outposts is a family-run outdoor adventure outfitter based in Northwestern Ontario, owned and operated by Wayne and Karla Clark. With more than 30 years of experience, the operation includes two drive-in resort locations and more than 25 remote fly-in outpost cabins, offering guests access to productive fishing waters and expansive wilderness landscapes.
The drive-in resorts provide convenient access to lakeside accommodations without the need for air travel. Guests can stay at K.C.’s Landing on the Indian Lake Chain or at Northern Lights Resort on Cedar Lake, where comfortable cabins serve as a base for fishing and outdoor recreation. Well-equipped boats are available, and anglers can target a wide variety of species across the resort and outpost lakes, including walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, lake trout, and muskie. Many waters also support healthy populations of yellow perch, crappie, and whitefish, adding variety and opportunity throughout the fishing season.
For those seeking a more remote experience, fly-in outpost cabins are located on secluded lakes accessible only by floatplane. These outposts are designed for comfort in the wilderness and typically include cabins with hot and cold running water, showers, electric fridges, stoves, BBQs, boats with motors, fuel, and live bait, along with mid-stay camp checks. Many of the outpost lakes have only one cabin, creating a strong sense of privacy and the feeling of having the lake largely to yourself.
Air service is provided from Cedar Lake, supporting transportation to remote outposts as well as charter and sightseeing flights across the region. This in-house aviation service allows guests to reach otherwise inaccessible areas of Northwestern Ontario and adds flexibility to trip planning.
Winter brings another dimension to the Clarks’ experience. On the Indian Lake Chain, guests can enjoy ice fishing with heated ice shacks and comfortable winter accommodations while targeting walleye, northern pike, and lake trout. For a truly unforgettable winter getaway, guests can also take a 40-mile snowmobile journey to Anishinabi Lodge. There, a cozy cabin heated by a wood stove offers a warm retreat after a day on the snow. Anglers can fish renowned Anishinabi Lake, known for trophy lake trout and northern pike, or venture to nearby portage lakes for walleye. Transportation options are available for guests who do not have their own snowmobile, making the experience accessible and hassle-free.
Guests can also take part in hunting adventures during the appropriate seasons. K.C.’s Landing and Northern Lights Resort provide access to nearby forests and crown land for big game and small game hunting, including moose, black bear, whitetail deer, and upland birds such as grouse and duck. Moose hunting trips are also available at select remote fly-in outposts. The resorts provide guidance on local hunting regulations, suggested areas, and baited stands, making it easy to combine a fishing getaway with a hunting experience.
Clark’s Resorts & Outposts offers a wide range of experiences that appeal to both first-time visitors and seasoned anglers, combining comfortable accommodations, remote wilderness access, and personalized service for a classic Northwestern Ontario outdoor adventure.
