Wawa has many opportunities to explore when it comes to experiencing the outdoors. For example, the two beaches it has are great to swim in, have play structures that will give kids hours of fun, and are unique places to sit and marvel at the beauty of being by the water. Dr. Rose’s Beach is the first of the beaches, located right close to the downtown centre of Wawa, and is the perfect place to bring your food for a picnic and to dip your toes in the water. Sandy Beach Eco-Interpretive Park has rolling hills of golden sand, Lake Superior waves crashing onto the shore, and an information panel on the Group of Seven, as it is a location for one of their famous paintings.
