Manitouwadge is a place that has fun and beautiful views all year round. At Kiwissa Ski Hill, the winter beckons you to enjoy the slopes and the enchanting view of the Northern forest covered in sparkly fluffy snow. Kiwissa Ski Hill is also home to many of Manitouwadge’s community events, including the town Christmas Tree lighting. In the summer, the ski hill is open to the public for hiking. There is an incredible trail that has you climb up to the very top and has an entirely unforgettable view. From the mountain’s height, you can see the entire town of Manitouwadge below and the rolling hills of the bright green forest as far as the eye can see. This is a sight you won’t be forgetting in a hurry.

Manitouwadge Lake

Manitouwadge Lake, located in the centre of town, is an alluring sight as the surrounding forest reflects within its deep waters. Along with being a beautiful place to sit and allow time to go by at the downtown dock, there is also Lion’s Beach, where locals and visitors alike can enjoy the refreshing waters of this beloved body of water. The shoreline is just waiting for sandcastles to be built, and the water is relatively shallow for little ones to wade in the cool and calm water. There is also a giant play structure right next to the beach, with swings, slides, and climbing opportunities awaiting for fun.

The Manitouwadge Community Centre is also great for spending time and having fun. In the summer, its pool attracts all locals and visitors alike to spend time with each other and cool down on a summer day. In the winter, be sure to try your hand at skating when the hours permit or catch a hockey game and cheer on the local kids. Outside, the Manitouwadge community centre is home to a brand new skateboard park that will impress all skaters of all ages.
