About Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park Campground

Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park offers a well-equipped camping experience with three distinct campgrounds: Whispering Hills, Riverside, and Fern’s Edge. Each campground provides access to essential amenities and is designed to cater to various camping preferences.

Whispering Hills Campground is the largest of the three and accommodates tents and RVs with both electrical and non-electrical sites. Amenities include washrooms with showers, potable water taps, and a laundromat. It is located near trails and the park’s Visitor Centre, providing convenient access to educational displays and park services.

Riverside Campground is situated closer to the Kaministiquia River. It offers a quieter atmosphere and is ideal for those seeking proximity to the water. This campground has non-electrical sites, washrooms, and a picnic area. The nearby walking paths connect visitors to views of Kakabeka Falls.

Fern’s Edge Campground is smaller and more secluded, catering primarily to tent campers. It features basic amenities such as vault toilets and drinking water stations. This area is closer to wooded trails, offering a more rustic experience for those seeking nature immersion.

Park-wide amenities include access to hiking trails and designated swimming and picnic areas. Firewood and ice are available for purchase within the park. Additionally, interpretive programs and guided walks are provided during peak seasons.
