About Hurkett Cove Trail

The Hurkett Cove Trail is a 2 km (1.24 mi) point-to-point trail that offers a glimpse into the region’s diverse wildlife. Over 180 bird species have been spotted here, earning it the moniker “Pelee of the North.” As you explore, you’ll encounter songbirds, raptors, and waterfowl along the shores of Lake Superior’s Black Bay.
