About Baptism Creek Trail

The Baptism Creek Trail in Quetico Provincial Park is a picturesque route that connects the Whiskey Jack and Camp 111 trails. This 1.1 km (0.7 mi) trail winds through a mature stand of Jack Pine, offering serene natural beauty and a peaceful hiking experience. It takes an average of 35 minutes to complete, making it an accessible choice for hikers of varying skill levels. The trail concludes at a clearing by the tranquil banks of Baptism Creek, providing a perfect spot for rest and reflection. During summer, the trail may be slightly overgrown but remains manageable for experienced hikers. In winter, it transforms into a groomed path for cross-country skiing, making it a year-round destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Dogs are welcome on a leash, adding to the family-friendly appeal.

Quetico Provincial Park, where the trail is located, spans an impressive 4,700 square kilometers in Northwestern Ontario.
