Pickerel Point

The Pickerel Point Trail is located within Quetico Provincial Park near Atikokan, Ontario. This 1.6 km (1 mile) out-and-back trail follows the Pickerel River, providing views of aquatic life and riparian plants and animals. It’s also an excellent spot to observe bald eagles, great blue herons, kingfishers, and ospreys. The trail is generally considered easy, with an average completion time of about 25 minutes.

However, some sections can be difficult and steep, so hikers should exercise caution. Much of the path is along boardwalks, which can become slippery when wet, especially during spring and summer.
