Ravine Lake Trail, within Sleeping Giant Provincial Park, is a 1.9 km (1.2 mile) loop trail near Silver Islet. The trail begins with a gentle ascent to a viewpoint overlooking Grassy Lake, the vast expanse of Lake Superior, and the picturesque south coast of the peninsula. As you soak in these breathtaking vistas, the trail then descends, leading you to the shores of Ravine Lake. The wooded area surrounding the lake provides a peaceful retreat, but be prepared for occasional wet and muddy conditions—hiking boots are recommended.

Sleeping Giant Provincial Park features over 100 km (62 mi) of well-maintained trails, ranging from easy, family-friendly walks to challenging routes for experienced adventurers. Hikers can explore a variety of landscapes, including dense forests, rugged cliffs, serene lakeshores, and the iconic Sleeping Giant formation itself. Wildlife is abundant, with opportunities to spot deer, foxes, birds, and even the occasional moose. Many trails lead to panoramic viewpoints, providing breathtaking vistas of Lake Superior and the surrounding wilderness.
