The Sawbill Lake Trail in Sleeping Giant Provincial Park is a 4 km (2.48 miles) out-and-back trail near Silver Islet. Generally considered a moderate route, it takes an average of 1 hour and 47 minutes to complete. This trail mainly functions as a connector from Marie Louise Lake Drive to the rest of the trail network on the peninsula. While most of the trail is wooded, there are some nice views of Thunder Mountain at the top of an incline. Birdwatching, camping, and fishing are popular activities here, and dogs are welcome on a leash. The best times to visit are from March through October.
