About Sibley Creek Trail

The Sibley Creek Nature Trail in Sleeping Giant Provincial Park offers an interesting outdoor experience. This 2.3 km (1.4 mi) loop trail near Silver Islet is generally considered easy, making it perfect for birdwatching, camping, and hiking. Alongside a small creek, the well-marked path features a picturesque bridge over Sibley Creek and beautiful scenery. Along the way, interpretive signposts enhance the experience, and pamphlets are available at the trailhead. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash. To access the trailhead, head into the campground, turn left at Marie Louise Lake Road, and follow the signage for Sibley Creek Trail.

Sleeping Giant Provincial Park features over 100 km (62 mi) of well-maintained trails, ranging from easy, family-friendly walks to challenging routes for experienced adventurers. Hikers can explore a variety of landscapes, including dense forests, rugged cliffs, serene lakeshores, and the iconic Sleeping Giant formation itself. Wildlife is abundant, with opportunities to spot deer, foxes, birds, and even the occasional moose. Many trails lead to panoramic viewpoints, providing breathtaking vistas of Lake Superior and the surrounding wilderness.
