Michipicoten Trail

The Michipicoten Trail, located near Wawa is a 30 km (18.6 mi) point-to-point trail that is a section of the Voyageur Trail. The trail begins at Highway 17 north, just past the Wawa Tourist Information Centre, and follows the Magpie River valley. It passes High Falls, Silver Falls, and Mission Falls, and continues south along the Lake Superior coast to Bridget Lake. An old, little-used section runs from Bridget Lake south to Noisy Bay in Lake Superior Provincial Park. The trail offers a challenging hike with natural trail surfaces, and it’s used for hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.
