Amethyst Country Rock and Gift Shop is located a short drive east of Thunder Bay, near the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. The shop is owned and supplied by the Diamond Willow Amethyst Mine and offers a wide selection of local raw amethyst at mine site prices. It also features many unique gifts and jewellery sourced from in house, various dealers and crafted by local artisans. The friendly staff and quality products make it a popular stop for visitors and locals alike.

If you are in the area during the summer months, be sure to visit Diamond Willow Amethyst Mine! The mine is open to the public, and the property features “dig your own” opportunities and a gift shop. All visitors are welcome, including small, large and school groups. Open 10:00am til 5:00pm daily Mid May til Mid October and offers FREE ADMISSION.  The mine supplies tools as well as bags and paper for wrapping and packaging when finished collecting. If mining isn’t your thing, browse the onsite gift shop that offers a huge selection and variety of Amethyst mined on site and pick up a polished piece in the form of jewellery, crystals, quality imported minerals, home décor, and any other variety of unique items.  It is a family and pet friendly operation with amenities including picnic area, ample parking, and an RV/trailer turnaround.
