About Reel Deal Fish Guiding

Reel Deal Fish Guiding invites anglers to explore the legendary waters of Lake Nipigon and the Nipigon River system, home to some of North America’s most iconic fishing opportunities. Known for its pristine beauty and world-class trophy fishing, this region offers unparalleled chances to catch Brook Trout, Lake Trout, and Northern Pike in a remote yet accessible setting. The Nipigon River’s legacy is unmatched, as it produced the world record Brook Trout—a 14.5 lb giant—caught by Dr. J.W. Cook in 1915. This record still stands, cementing the river’s reputation among anglers worldwide. Guests can fish these storied waters, where trophy Brook Trout exceeding 26 inches and 8 lbs are landed every year.

Spanning 112 km (70 mi) in length and nearly 80 km (50 mi) in width, Lake Nipigon is Ontario’s largest inland lake and flows into the Nipigon River, which connects to Lake Superior. Known as the “headwaters to the Great Lakes,” this region features diverse fishing environments, including the opportunity to target rare Coaster Brook Trout in Lake Superior.

They provide expert-led fishing trips aboard a fully outfitted 17.5-foot Lund Outfitter, equipped with advanced electronics and trolling systems. Anglers of all skill levels can enjoy fishing for species like Brook Trout, Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Walleye, Steelhead, and Salmon. Beyond fishing, guests will experience stunning cliffs, wildlife viewing, and a chance to visit the Nipigon Museum, home to artifacts celebrating the world record Brook Trout. They also offer assistance with travel plans and accommodations to ensure a seamless adventure.
