Flint Wilderness Resort is located in a naturally forested setting on the sandy shore of beautiful Klotz Lake, home of the Northern Pike and Walleye. Klotz Lake is connected to Flint Lake via Flint River where they maintain a remote outpost camp. This waterway and other secluded lakes and streams accessible from the camp offer our guests the very finest Northern Ontario fishing available. Both Klotz and Flint Lake have an outstanding reputation as premier Northern Pike fishing and Walleye fishing Lakes. These lakes are known to produce not only Northern Pike in numbers, but also trophy pike.

Ontario Black Bear Hunting

Black Bear, without question, is one of the most valued big game animals on the North American continent. The Black Bear population has exploded dramatically since the closing of the spring season in 1998. Ontario has reopened it’s spring season in 2016, along with it’s traditional fall bear hunting season. We at Flint Wilderness Resort have over 60 years of hunting experience in both Canada and the U.S.A. Flint Wilderness Resort also maintains a vast exclusive hunting area in prime bear country providing our hunters with the very best opportunity to bag that once in a lifetime trophy Black Bear.

Accommodations

This Northern Ontario fishing resort include the main lodge constructed of natural logs with a large screened-in porch facing Klotz Lake. The lodge provides a warm, friendly atmosphere for social activity. Also located on the Klotz Lake shore are ten cottages of natural log or frame construction with screened-in porches for your comfort.

The interiors of the cottages are bright, clean, and comfortable, each with it’s own unique rustic quality. Each cottage is fully equipped for housekeeping and includes electric stove, refrigerator, microwave ovens, all kitchen utensils, linens, plus hot and cold running water and modern two-piece bathrooms. Central hot showers are located for our guests convenience. Deluxe Lund fishing boats powered by 15 horse Mercurys motors are also available. We also offer a newly remodeled and expanded remote outpost cottage on Flint Lake, which will accommodate up to eight guests.
