Trophy sized Walleye are also bountiful. On an average day you should be able to catch 20 -150 ranging from 2 – 14 lbs. The wilderness north of Nakina has the best moose hunting in Ontario. The moose population in the area are estimated at almost 3000 and growing. Black bears in the area can reach anywhere from 250 to a massive 400 pounds!

Moose and bear hunters can also buy an additional small game license and harvest a wolf. Due to the high population of moose and the late season migration of Caribou traveling south into the area there is a large population of wolves often seen at bait stands.
