Housekeeping Lodges

Available at any Wilderness North outpost cabin, this DIY service offering allows for complete independence and freedom from everyday life for a true Northern Ontario outpost fishing or adventure experience.

Fly Fishing

Every fly fishing experience starts and ends at Miminiska Lodge, the home base for your stay. From there, the choice is yours. Each 4 or 6 night stay includes one fly out trip. Explore the world class Freestone River or fish the weed expanses of Petawanga Lake. Choose three or five excursions based on your package.

Miminiska Lodge offers the ultimate in Canadian hospitality. A full service lodge, Miminiska is the ideal fishing vacation setting for those who enjoy a larger body of water to fish and the camaraderie of other guests. Our staff take care of the details and see to your comfort – including superb dining, dock service, and daily housekeeping. Located some 235 miles north of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Miminiska Lodge is built on a section of the famous Albany River where it widens to form Miminiska Lake. Anglers enjoy immense variety at Miminiska; honey holes in weeded areas, and near water falls, extended exploration through portages and fly-out opportunities, and the option for both lake and river fishing, Miminiska has it all. The Albany watershed has long been famous among anglers due to its dozens of fast moving rivers and miles of lakes – all with quality northern and walleye fishing along with a world renowned brook trout fishery.
