About Ashburton Bay Beach

Inside Neys Provincial Park sits a 2 km (1.2 miles) sandy beach on Ashburton Bay that is so beautiful you’ll want to spend the entire day exploring what it offers. The entire shore is covered in soft golden sand that expands into the very shallow water. On really hot summer days, these shallow waters of cold Lake Superior warm up under the sun, allowing you to take a refreshing swim and play in the waves. Sun-bleached driftwood is scattered along the sugary sand shore.

Along with lounging on the sand, dipping your toes in the water, and having picnics, Ney’s Provincial Park also has the option for you to rent kayaks or canoes if you would like to paddle around the shore and explore the bright blue great lake water from its surface. There are also many hiking trails around the park for you to enjoy.

Whether you want to hike, swim, or just relax amidst the beautiful environment of Lake Superior, Neys Beach in Ashburton Bay will be an unforgettable memory for all to enjoy.
