If you are looking for a scenic spot to enjoy the views of Nipigon and its surroundings, you should visit the Bridgeview Lookout Tower. This 40-foot structure is located on Railway Street. You can climb 65 steps to reach the top of the tower, where you will be rewarded with a 360-degree panorama of Lake Helen, the Nipigon River Bridge, the Marina, and beyond. Nipigon is located at the most Northern point of Lake Superior and offers unique views like no other. Look down from the Tower toward the Nipigon River, home to the world record Brook Trout and the largest source of water flowing into Lake Superior. The surrounding area offers many places to visit, eat, educate, and explore with several eateries, parks, and walking/hiking trails. A visit to the North Shore of Lake Superior would not be complete without taking in the views from the Nipigon Tower. You can also learn about the history and culture of the area from the Group of Seven Interpretive Panel and the Indigenous Group of Seven Monument for artist Norval Morrisseau – Copper Thunderbird.
