The Manitouwadge Lookout is a scenic spot that overlooks the town of Manitouwadge. It is a popular destination for hikers, bikers, and nature lovers who want to enjoy the beauty of the Canadian Shield. The lookout is accessible by a short but steep trail that starts near the Kiwissa Ski Hill. The trail is well-marked and follows the ridge of a hill, passing by a telecommunications tower along the way. The summit of the trail offers a breathtaking view of the town and the surrounding forests, lakes, and hills. The lookout is a great place to relax, take photos, and admire the landscape. Directions: Off Highway 17, take the turnoff into Manitouwadge. Take the first right before entering Kiwissa Ski Hill. Parking is available near the telecommunications tower. The trail begins at the left of the tower. It’s a steep climb, with approximately a 15–20-minute hike to the summit.
