Mount McKay Lookout (Anemki Wajiw) is a scenic spot on the Fort William First Nation reserve, near Thunder Bay. It offers a panoramic view of the city, the north shore of Lake Superior, and the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. The lookout is located on a plateau 300 metres above sea level and is accessible by a winding road or a hiking trail. A large statue of an eagle and a tepee are some of the attractions at the lookout, as well as a memorial for Aboriginal veterans. This lookout is a place to admire the natural beauty and the cultural heritage of the region, and to witness spectacular phenomena like sun rings and rainbows.
