The lookout at the Top of the Giant Trail is one of the most spectacular viewpoints in Ontario, offering a panoramic view of Lake Superior and the Sleeping Giant rock formation. The lookout is located on the west side of the Sibley Peninsula, at the end of a challenging 22 km hike that combines three trails: Kabeyun, Talus Lake, and Top of the Giant. The trail ascends 229 metres to the top of the Giant’s knees, where a boardwalk platform extends over the edge of the cliff, 450 feet above the water. From the lookout, you can see the Thunder Bay coastline, the Black Bay, and even the Isle Royale National Park in Michigan on a clear day. The lookout is a rewarding destination for adventurous hikers who want to experience the natural beauty and the legend of the Sleeping Giant.
