Beardmore Snowman

Deep into the Superior Country forest down Highway 11 is a roadside treasure known as the Beardmore Snowman. Standing 35 feet (10.6 m) tall, this snowman is a staple representing the beauty and adventurous spirit of the town of Beardmore, Greenstone, and Northern Ontario. Known far and wide for how its accessories adapt to certain seasons, in the winter, you’ll find it holding a curling broom; in the summer, it’s a fishing rod, and his signature top hat and sunglasses complete the look all year round.

Standing against a backdrop of the alluring northern pines and fluttering leaves, the world’s most giant snowman is a stop you need when road-tripping around Superior Country.
