Right on the side of the highway is a little roadside attraction that all family members will love. The Winnie the Pooh Statue is a loving monument commemorating the one and only Winnie the Pooh bear. This bear means a lot to the community of White River, as the real-life Winnie was a female cub adopted from a fur trapper right here in the town of White River 100 years ago, and, as we know, brought joy to children all over Canada before eventually being given up to a zoo in London, England. As the story goes, here is where Winnie met her best friend, Christopher Robin Milne, whose father wrote the beloved stories we all know so well.
The Winnie the Pooh statue in White River is there for all to take pictures with and learn more about the real Winnie the Pooh bear, who became known and loved worldwide. Along with it, there is also a park that local children and visitors alike love. This park has a play structure with a slide and swings, which are all you need for a bit of rest and are full of fun.
