The Terrace Bay waterfront is a popular spot for visitors and a source of pride for its residents. The beautifully updgraded area includes docks anda launch that connects boaters to Lake Superior, Slate Island Provincial Park, and the Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area. The waterfront features a pavilion that includes a sheltered picnic area, flush toilets and a Parks Canada gift shop. There is also an accessible boardwalk that hugs the upper part of the beach. If you feel like exploring on foot, the Parks Canada Red Chairs are at the end of a short trail, just past the beach boardwalk. The Aguasabon Gorge and Falls can be accessed via a portion of the Casques Isles Hiking Trail that begins at the beach. It takes approximately 60-90 minutes to do this in and out trail.
