Salmon

Superior Country has two different species of salmon, Pink Salmon and Coho Salmon. These fish were introduced to the Great Lakes and had called this area home ever since. In the summer and early fall, they congregate together in the mouth of tributaries. They then migrate upstream to spawn.

The Nipigon River and Lake Superior have some of the best fall fishing; you will find a multitude of Salmon. Trolling your line is one of the favourite ways to catch Salmon. Have one of our guides take you out to the prime locations for Salmon fishing.
