arrow-blue-right Rainbow Falls awaits with trails made for pure winter escape.

About Superior Cross Country Ski Club

The Superior Cross Country Ski Club offers 7.5 km (4.6 mi) of groomed Nordic ski trails within Rainbow Falls Provincial Park, just inland from the rugged shoreline of Lake Superior. Maintained by a dedicated group of volunteers, the club provides a welcoming winter experience for skiers who appreciate quiet forests, fresh snow, and the steady rhythm of classic cross-country skiing. The trails are dog-friendly, so well-behaved, leashed dogs can join their owners on a snowy adventure.

The trail network includes two well maintained loops groomed for both classic and skate skiing. The Rainbow Falls Loop is a 2 km (1.2 mi) route that offers a shorter, approachable ski through snow covered woodland, making it ideal for beginners or those looking for a relaxed outing. The Back 40 Loop extends 4.5 km (2.8 mi) gives skiers a longer glide through peaceful terrain and gently rolling sections of forest. There is one side loop on the Back 40 that is reserved exclusively for classic technique.
