About Rainbow Falls Provincial Park

Rainbow Falls Provincial Park consists of two distinct campgrounds: the Whitesand Lake Campground and the Rossport Campground. The Whitesand Lake Campground, located on the north side of Highway 17, offers nearly 100 campsites, with half of them featuring electrical service. These campsites are set in a mix of wooded areas and along the lakeshore, providing privacy and a peaceful environment. The campground is traversed by the Casque Isles Trail, which connects Terrace Bay, Schreiber, and Rossport. This trail leads to the park’s namesake, Rainbow Falls, offering stunning panoramic views of Lake Superior and Whitesand Lake. The park also provides opportunities for fishing, boating, and paddling.

The Rossport Campground is located approximately 5 km (3.1 mi) west of Whitesand Lake Campground, is smaller and offers 36 campsites. It is located along the rugged shoreline of Lake Superior and provides stunning views of the lake. This campground is equipped with 15/30 amp electrical service and has a comfort station with showers for campers. Although smaller than the Whitesand Lake Campground, it still offers a serene setting for those looking to enjoy the beauty of the area.
