Pigeon River Provincial Park, located in northwestern Ontario near the Canada-United States border, offers a range of hiking trails suited to different skill levels. The park’s natural features include forests, rivers, and waterfalls. The most notable being the High Falls Trail that leads to a viewpoint overlooking High Falls, a waterfall that drops 28 meters (92 ft) and spans the border. This trail is approximately 3 km (1.9 mi) roundtrip and is well marked, making it accessible for most hikers.

The trails in the park are generally moderate in difficulty, with marked trailheads and basic signage to guide visitors. Along the routes, hikers will find rest areas and viewpoints that highlight the park’s scenic landscapes. While facilities are limited, the park’s trails offer a chance to experience its natural beauty up close. Visitors are encouraged to prepare adequately, carry essential supplies, and follow Leave No Trace principles. The trails are ideal for day hikes, offering a mix of accessibility and challenge for those exploring the area.
